VenaSeal™ Vascular Adhesive
VenaSeal™ is a minimally invasive, endovenous procedure. Under ultrasound guidance, a small catheter is inserted into a vein in your calf and then advanced towards your groin. A medical-grade cyanoacrylate polymer (adhesive) is then injected into the affected vessel using a specialized adhesive applicator. Under ultrasound guidance, we ‘glue’ the entire length of the veins shut. Over time, the closed vein is eventually absorbed by the body. We are proud that EVA Vein Care was chosen to perform the first VenaSeal™ procedures in North America and we are considered world experts in its use.
Benefits: VenaSeal™ offers several distinct advantages over other procedures: 1) no painful tumescent anesthesia or general anesthesia; 2) you do not have to wear compression stockings following the procedure; 3) you can return to normal activity within 24 hrs.
